I was approached at a PHP meeting by a curious and reasonably tech savvy representative of a local church. Their website was built on a PHP 2.0 framework. When their host upgraded to PHP 5.0 their calendar module broke. I streamlined the site for faster loading and PHP version ignorance (timeless coding) by getting rid of the framework-- it was just plain unnecessary. They liked their layout and design, so I just duplicated it with more compact and efficient code.
